Psychological Thriller Feature Film Casting

A adventure film with a out door feel like the "Hunger Games".  Seeking great actors. "Cold To The Bone"  is now casting for the Psychological Thriller feature film from Controversial Entertainment.

Casting Roles for the following:

Teen males: 14 to 16 years or age All ethnicity's must be submitted by a Parent.

Teen females: 14-16 year all ethnicity's must be submitted by a Parent.

Adult males 35 to 45, all ethnicity's

Adult females 35 to 45, all ethnicity's

Teen applications will only be accepted if submitted by a parent - DO NOT SUBMIT YOURSELF!

Only electronic and digital portfolio’s will be accepted at this stage, until a refined list has been made, then sides will be released. Please submit links to other work, IMDB page and monologues.

Shoot Date: Principle Photography to begin mid to late July, exact dates TBD.

Location in and around Los Angeles and some in Montana or Utah, exact locations TBA.

You must be comfortable being outdoors. Do you have good endurance and physical fitness?  The film is of an adventure theme to the likes of 'Hunger Games', with the characterization of 'Lord of the flies’ and the visual reference of 'The Grey'

We are ‪#‎casting‬ for our short ‪#‎film‬ Turf that is currently resuming production and will be submitted to many up and coming film festivals and will have global distribution when completed. We are looking for one more key principal actor. Experience required for this role. This is a NON-UNION project.

CASTING: Male Co-Lead -- age 35-50ish, 5'11" to 6'1" only please. Hispanic preferred or ethnically ambiguous, but if you fit the height and age requirement, please submit . Character is a detective in violent crimes division. Sophisticated and friendly but also has a secret dark side. Actor must have acting experience and able to show both characteristics when appropriate and be direct-able. Must also be experienced in martial arts or close quarters combat for fight scenes and or be very teachable for new fight choreography.

LOCATION: Sacramento, CA, & Surrounding areas, USA

COMPENSATION: Negotiable (low budget project) as well as receiving copy, film and IMDB credits and meals on shoot days as well. Reasonable gas reimbursement too but no lodging is covered. Close to filming area preferred.

The San Francisco Film Society has just launched the SFFS Women Filmmaker Fellowship, a new suite of services that will support female writer/directors working on their second or third narrative feature with financial backing, programs and events, mentorship services, industry connections and more.

Backed by the Kenneth Rainin Foundation and facilitated by SFFS' Filmmaker360, this fellowship will provide direct assistance to an underserved group of storytellers and help build sustainable careers for women filmmakers everywhere. Also, the fellowship will give priority to projects in the under-represented genres of sci-fi, comedy, action, thriller and horror.

Participants in the SFFS Women Filmmaker Fellowship must working on a second or third English-language narrative feature screenplay budgeted at no more than $3 million. Fellows must also have had a previous film premiere at a major international festival.

Applications will open in winter 2016. The fellowships will take place from April to October each year, overlapping with the Film Society’s San Francisco International Film Festival (April 23–May 7). Program support includes:

•     A $25,000–$40,000 cash grant, which must be used for living expenses. Individual amounts depend on place of residence and estimated travel costs to participate in Bay Area fellowship components.

•     Placement in FilmHouse Residency program and access to all FilmHouse programs and activities.

•     One-on-one consultation with film industry experts from the Bay Area and beyond regarding casting, 
financing, budgeting, legal issues, distribution and other relevant topics.

•     Weekly one-on-one consultation services provided by Filmmaker360 staff, with feedback on screenplays, verbal pitch strategies and written materials such as synopsis and treatment.

•     Presentations and networking opportunities with Bay Area narrative filmmakers.

•     Expenses covered for one 3-day networking trip with a Filmmaker360 staff member from San Francisco to Los Angeles, for meetings with established industry professionals.
