#casting for our short
#film Turf that is currently resuming production and will be submitted to many up and coming film festivals and will have global distribution when completed. We are looking for one more key principal actor. Experience required for this role. This is a NON-UNION project.
CASTING: Male Co-Lead -- age 35-50ish, 5'11" to 6'1" only please. Hispanic preferred or ethnically ambiguous, but if you fit the height and age requirement, please submit . Character is a detective in violent crimes division. Sophisticated and friendly but also has a secret dark side. Actor must have acting experience and able to show both characteristics when appropriate and be direct-able. Must also be experienced in martial arts or close quarters combat for fight scenes and or be very teachable for new fight choreography.
LOCATION: Sacramento, CA, & Surrounding areas, USA
COMPENSATION: Negotiable (low budget project) as well as receiving copy, film and IMDB credits and meals on shoot days as well. Reasonable gas reimbursement too but no lodging is covered. Close to filming area preferred.

We are filming in Sacramento, CA and surrounding areas mostly on weekends and will continue to do so until project is complete. Again, key positions and lead actors will be paid (negotiable) but all participants will receive copy, film and IMDB credits and meals on shoot days. We have taken the time to find the right people and we have some great talent involved so far in front and behind the camera. Most are volunteering their time for this because of their belief in the film so this will be the kind of quality project you'll want to be a part of.
